We are an inclusive community of racers engaged in top-level racing at some of the best and most exotic sailing locations in the world, the Caribbean. Which is our base, and where we perform our training and racing.

Explore Caribbean Yacht Racing Club (CYRC) sailing opportunities throughout the Caribbean islands, Racing for all skill levels.

Training Programs

Expert-led training programs and race preparation designed for all members to enhance their sailing skills. Training is conducted in concentrated blocks before and during the racing season. We are open to members choices and timetables. For further details see Training Page in the Forum or contact us if not a member.

Regatta Participation

Participate in exciting regattas throughout the Caribbean Islands, showcasing your racing talents. Further detail available on Race Schedule Page

CYRC Crew Member Services

We endeavour to coordinate to schedule members crew positions on boats in Caribbean Regattas and address questions on the logistics, training and regattas. Members also have access to the forum and skippers contacts for further details.

CYRC Captain Member Services

A key objective of the club is to increase engagement and participation of sailors and boats in the Caribbean Regattas. Owners are a pivotal part of this and CYRC is here to coordinate to with the captains to facilitate participation in Caribbean Regattas and address questions and assist in the logistics, boat preparation, crew training and regattas. Members also have access to the forum to contact other skippers and crew for support, advice and for coordination.

CYRC Membership Tiers

There are 3 Tiers of CYRC Membership

Tier 1: Social Club Membership - Access to Club Forum and to training & racing briefings, debriefings and any Instructional and Race materials, Videos, Photos, and social events.

> Tier 1:￡500 GBP

Tier 2: One Regatta Club Membership -Access to all Tier 1 plus one pre Regatta Yacht training and racing in one Regatta (approximately 1 week). Limited space, Max 25% of crew.

> Tier 2:￡1250 GBP

Tier 3: Racing Club Membership - Access to all Tier 1 plus all Yacht training and racing Events. Membership also entitles member to participate in boat deliveries and other sailing activities during the regatta season.

> Tier 3: ￡5000 GBP

Tier 4: Owner Club Membership - Access to all Tier 1, 2 & 3, benefits plus assistance in coordination, crew and crew training and regattas support and coordination from experienced local and International Skippers including delivery, assistance and advice in getting boat race ready.

> Tier 4: ￡5000 GBP

Our Fleet

In the 2025 Racing Season we currently have 2 vessels committed to the Racing Season

"Freebooter" Dufour 39 (39 ft) as main race boat

"Quest" a custom pilot house Sloop (54 ft) as support vessel.

Captain Ash

Over 30 years experience, Racing and Sailing Boats, most recently 10 years in the Caribbean (Caribbean Sea & Atlantic). but previously, 10 years in Europe (Mediterranean, Irish & North Seas), 8 years in Australia (Pacific Ocean) and 2 years in Canada (Great Lakes).

Captain Roman

RYA qualified Ocean Yachtmaster with over 30 years Sailing to the ends of the Earth, Circumnavigated the world in his first Yacht "Swiss Lady" has seen more than most sailors in all the wrong places. Roman is a core resource to the club and has sailed all the oceans, knows the Caribbean inside and out.
